Homework Blues

I am tired of making children do their homework....complain grumble...oh wait is that me or the kids! I can't wait till summer is here and there is no more homework and no more books no more teacher's emails. I am looking forward to not having that stress. I love my children but they hate their homework and hate doing it. It frustrates me so much to watch them struggle with their homework.

Yucky Weather again

Well it was raining again today. YUCK! The apartment inspection went as expected. I got the filter changed in the furnace.

Dan called tonight and the kids did not want to talk to him so they let it go to the voice mail when he called tonight. OH WELL!

I am currently writing about my life changes when I was married to him. I hope to post it soon. I am talking to the church women's single ministry. She wants me to tell them about how things are going to get better. I feel like so much of my story is in what happened first.

Mom and I went out to lunch today. I scrap booked a ton of pictures again today. :)

IEPS

Well today is IEP day. We set up the individualized education plans for the boys. UGGG! I hate them. I am trying to have a positive attitude about it. The boys are struggling in LA and in math now. Math is because they do not turn in their homework. I am trying to think of a goal for the boys so it is worded that they will turn in their homework. Colton has 4 assignements done and sitting in his take home folder not turned in. I can not walk him to class to hand them in. HMMM maybe I should do that. It seems to cycle around like this. They don't want to do their homework any more. UGGG

Baby Pictures

Caleb in the bathtub with his clothes on. LOL
One of the boys in the laundry basket.

The Twins when they were babies. Oh so cute. I wish they were small again! NOT! Beautiful but so much work!

I found a great picture of Colton and I. It was when he was a baby. He had just gotten done eating. Such Cute Babies!

Crazy Life

I am running running running. Caleb's play is Friday and Saturday. So that means I have been running him back and forth to school. I did a bunch of cleaning. I scrubbed the floors and cleaned the ceiling and ceiling fan. That was gross. I did get a bunch of scrap booking done and I got some cards made today.

Easter

Well we moved Rex into his new house over the weekend. We had Easter dinner there. The boys spent the night at Rex's house Sat. night. The Easter bunny brought their basket over.
Courtney spent Friday night with a friend and then Saturday evening with her big sister. They saw the new Hannah Montana movie. Courtney really liked the movie. She said it was great.

We had ham, potatoes, gravy, buns, and all the other good stuff.
We had pies and strawberry shortcake for desert.

Another week is gone!

Time seems to fly by. I love that it is spring. Not that you can tell by the weather in Iowa. The snow seems to be flying all the time. Hopefully it is over. Sunday it snowed again. It snowed last Saturday. It warms up so it melts but I am tired of looking at it.

We spent the weekend at mom and dad's house. Saturday, mom and I cleaned the basement we went threw more of the stuff from the house in Palo. I am so tired of it. We are almost done. We will have to bring a bunch of stuff over to the apartment when we move before the movers come but oh well. I still don't know what to do with the porcelain dolls. I think mom will end up keeping most of them for Court.

Saturday was Bill Yates Celebration of Life. It was interesting. They had lots of beer. I babysat for his girls for 8 years. I used to tell him that he paid for my first car. ;) I didn't really know what to say to the girls... He had cancer but died from a blood clot. They lost their house in Palo too. So there isn't much left of their childhood. It is so sad.

I am trying to go threw the kids pictures and start their scrap books. It is so overwhelming. It is something I would like to have done before we move. It is 12 years for the boys and 8 for Courtney all done in 2 months. LOL Yea sure.

I did get to run on Monday, Wed and Friday. Friday I went to mom and dad's I did laundry while I did that I took her dogs for a run. It is hard to run with an animal. Anna doesn't keep up or she gets side tracked. I tell my mom they both have adhd, Rebel and Anna. She says it is because they are hunting dogs.

Caleb and Colton's teacher has not been in school this week because her husband was hurt working in the line of duty. He is a Cedar Rapids PO. He was responding to people on Sunday so that is good. He had traumatic brain injuries. We are keeping them in our prayers.
