Another week is gone!

Time seems to fly by. I love that it is spring. Not that you can tell by the weather in Iowa. The snow seems to be flying all the time. Hopefully it is over. Sunday it snowed again. It snowed last Saturday. It warms up so it melts but I am tired of looking at it.

We spent the weekend at mom and dad's house. Saturday, mom and I cleaned the basement we went threw more of the stuff from the house in Palo. I am so tired of it. We are almost done. We will have to bring a bunch of stuff over to the apartment when we move before the movers come but oh well. I still don't know what to do with the porcelain dolls. I think mom will end up keeping most of them for Court.

Saturday was Bill Yates Celebration of Life. It was interesting. They had lots of beer. I babysat for his girls for 8 years. I used to tell him that he paid for my first car. ;) I didn't really know what to say to the girls... He had cancer but died from a blood clot. They lost their house in Palo too. So there isn't much left of their childhood. It is so sad.

I am trying to go threw the kids pictures and start their scrap books. It is so overwhelming. It is something I would like to have done before we move. It is 12 years for the boys and 8 for Courtney all done in 2 months. LOL Yea sure.

I did get to run on Monday, Wed and Friday. Friday I went to mom and dad's I did laundry while I did that I took her dogs for a run. It is hard to run with an animal. Anna doesn't keep up or she gets side tracked. I tell my mom they both have adhd, Rebel and Anna. She says it is because they are hunting dogs.

Caleb and Colton's teacher has not been in school this week because her husband was hurt working in the line of duty. He is a Cedar Rapids PO. He was responding to people on Sunday so that is good. He had traumatic brain injuries. We are keeping them in our prayers.

We made it

We made it through the really cold spell. It was terriable. -50 at the worst. Sunday we had Grandpa's 75 birthday party. He said it was the best party he had ever had. It was a blast. I am glad we did it for him. I will post some pictures later. :)

Courtney in the Snow! Blizzard!

The blizzard is here. It is awful. School is getting out early. I got my grocery shopping done early before the snow hit. It is snowing really good. I need to do laundry but I don't want to go outside and I forgot to get quarters at the bank. I wanted to get home before the storm started. I got all of the groceries put away. I bought a ton of food today and the freezer is full. I wanted to do as much as I could. I am supposed to work tomorrow afternoon but we will see. I think if the blizzard keeps up we won't be going any where tomorrow. :) I guess I bought a bunch of junk food so the kids will be happy.

Well we shoveled out our car and Courtney played in the snow.

More snow

I hate snow. We got another 7 inches of the white crap last night. YUCK! I wish it all would go away.

Dog Tired

I am so tired tonight. I am waiting for the boys to finish their homework so we can go to bed. 10 more math problems for Caleb. I hate Thursdays because all of their weekly homework is due tomorrow. The procrastinate and save it for Thursday night and then make it miserable for all of us.

There is supposed to be more snow moving in tonight. Maybe there will be a late start tomorrow. :) Then I will not have to work. I worked all day today so I am dog tired. I am glad I worked some extra hours today so in case there is snow I have some time on my check this week.

The boys have sleep over birthday party I need to get a card for the boy, we are just giving cash as a gift. I think at the age of 12 it is the best gift you can give. I don't know what else to get him. The boys didn't really have any ideas either.

So I have to round up the sleeping bags so they can take it over to his house.

sickness

Well I feel like crud, Courtney gave me her cold. It sucks. My chest hurts. I took some musinex to get rid of the congestion. SUCKS to be sick!
I don't want to take care of anyone else because I am sick. Courtney is not feeling very good still. She is doing better. I hope she can go to school tomorrow.
We are going to have another snow storm tomorrow and tomorrow night.

One final done

Well I am done with my capstone discussion question and final assignment for my international business class. Whoo! I am happy I got one thing done today. It has been hard to work and finish up my classes. I am under a deadline to finish by Wed. So tomorrow I will work all day on my Human Resource Managment class. It is a huge project. Parts are done which help. I have a checkpoint to do for that class too. I thought I would finish one class today. :)

Amber's mom had a stroke over the weekend. It is bad. She is having difficulty communicating. I feel so bad for her and Amber. I can't do much because I am trying to finish my homework. If it had been next week it would have been okay

We got 3 inches of snow here last night which made the roads a mess around here. I did walk outside for a few minutes. It was really slippery. I did not get my paperwork turned into work. I will have to venture out tonight or tomorrow to turn it in. Not looking forward to that. I hate driving in the snow.

I hope to add pictures one day to this blog but it doesn't seem to happen :) Oh well It is good for me to just write.

Harmand is supposed to be working on the paper work for the AIP. I hope we get the stuff done to move quickly. I don't think he wants to stay in S. Korea.
